Gwen A. Lewis
Gwen A. Lewis, Ph.D. A.B.Pd.N. has over forty years of experience specializing in the neuropsychological evaluations of children. Dr. Lewis focuses on understanding how a child’s unique brain characteristics impact their emotional development. A child’s emotional development, emotional regulation, and coping skills have a very significant impact on the ability of a child to demonstrate their cognitive, language, and academic skills. Children often need the support and coping strategies provided by the emotional support of a child mental health therapist/counselor to learn social skills such as perspective taking and conflict resolution. Dr. Lewis has had a private practice in Edmonds, Washington, since 1986. She has earned a Masters Degree in Counseling, Ph.D. in Psychology/Human Development, and a Post Doctorate in Neuropsychology. She spent the early years of her career as a School Psychologist certified in the States of California, Oregon, and Washington. She passed the national examination, American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology (A.B.Pd.N.).
